BE A PART OF THE CHANGE8 Million tons of plastic end up in our oceans every year and of this, 50% has been produced for single use items such as bottles, straws and cups. It is predicted by 2025, 155 million tons of plastic will enter our oceans every year. Annually, about 500 billion plastic bags are used worldwide. More than 1 million bags are used every minute. Over the last 10 years we have produced more plastic than over the last century. Plastic Conscious Limited is a part of the Steelhead Group which has a policy of donating at least 10% of its profits to supporting eco initiatives. These include financial support and consultancy services to charitable foundations such as Plastic Oceans Foundation, investments in awareness campaigns and environmental documentaries, as well as collaborations with the Ellen MacArthur Foundation. |
