1. It is best not to drink the first cup of water poured into the cup; instead, scald the cup with boiling water, let it sit for four or five minutes, and then discard the water. This allows harmful substances to fully dissipate, as fluorescent agents and printing inks can easily leach into and contaminate the contents.
2. Avoid using disposable paper cups or instant noodle paper bowls in the microwave.
3. Try to avoid filling paper cups with hot water. To prevent leakage, some manufacturers coat the cups with a thin layer of wax, which melts when exposed to water temperatures exceeding 40°C. Therefore, disposable paper cups are best suited for cold beverages rather than hot water above 40°C.
